HP842A 4-in-1 MPEG2/H.264 HD Encoder is a CatCast new professional HD/SD audio & video encoding device with a powerful functionality. It is equipped with 4 SDI or 4 HDMI inputs supporting MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video encoding and MPEG 2, MPEG 2-AAC, MPEG 4-AAC and DD AC3 audio encoding. The 4 encoded programs will output through ASI and IP ports in MPTS or SPTS, and there is also one ASI in port for re-multiplexing.
It adopts inner drawer-type structural design which greatly facilitates the change of encoding modules if needed.

- Power Alarm Switch: When only one power supply is connected or one of the power supplies fails, the device will give alarm sound, and then press the alarm switch to turn off the alarm sound.

- Indicators for whole unit power supply, working alarm and input signal lock status: Lock 1 will be green as long as one of the HDMI channels is encoding program; Lock 2 will be green as long as one of the SDI channels is encoding program; Lock 3: ASI in locking status; Lock 4: useless
